In light of my engagement invites (you can tell I’m pretty damn pleased with myself, can’t you?) I’ve decided on my philosophy towards planning our wedding: being lazy(ish).
Or, to expand:
minimum cost
minimum effort (unless the task is something really fun!)
maximum impact
In the context of invitations for example, getting someone else to do them might be low [...]
Um. So yes, I’ve changed my mind on colours again. And it probably won’t be the last time. But anyway, I call this one “Pink Lemonade Happy Funfun Awesome Times”, and it is fairly similar to the last mood board that I posted with the addition of a delicious watermelon pink. Despite being one of [...]
My fabulous Chick of Honour (who shall henceforth be referred to as Miss T) and another good friend did some venue recon for me over the weekend, and today I got to see the videos and photos they took! The venue in question is The Forrest Centre Reception Centre, which looks pretty good from the [...]

Neither of us are a fan of buffets, and while there’s nothing wrong with the typical soup – chicken/beef/fish – dessert three course meal, it does get a little [...]
Okay, so I’ve been assured that the guest list situation has been exaggerated, and am at peace with possibly having a slightly-on-the-largeish side wedding. Back to ideas.
After watching ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ on DVD and at an amateur theatre last weekend with The Boy, I was inspired to consider a wedding that doesn’t fear rain [...]
Second shot at doing an inspiration board! Following on from my last colours post, I wanted to try something with a subtle greeny-blue with bright pops of yellow, for a (hopefully?) balanced and elegant but still fun look.
An idea inspired by the fabulous wedding mentioned earlier, which The Boy seemed to think was pretty decent.
Imagine a pretty outdoor location (I haven’t been able to move beyond Matilda Bay Reserve), decked out a bit like a lounge or beer garden with some couches, some tables and chairs, and big market umbrellas for shade. [...]
